摘 要：The mean dimension was introduced by Michal Gromov (1999) as a new topological invatiant of dynamical systems, which estimates how many parameters per iterate one needs to describe the orbits of the system. It was further developed by Elon Lindenstrauss and Benjamin Weiss (2000). In this talk, I will start with the background and properties of mean dimension. Then I will discuss about several applications and interesting relations with other subjects which have been found over the last two decades.
