题 目:Functional analytic aspects of quantum group theory

摘 要:The quantum group theory was initiated in Drinfeld's celebrated work in 1980s. Motivated by noncommutative geometry and harmonic analysis, Woronowicz established around 1990 a relevant analytic theory of quantum groups in the framework of operator algebras, which was later completed by Stefaan Vaes around 2001 under the name of "locally compact quantum groups". This analytic theory has witnessed rapid developments in recent decades, with deep interactions with operator algebras, free probability and quantum information theory. This talk will include a quick review of basic ideas of this theory, and present some recent progress in this field, in particular with an emphasis on some problems in harmonic analysis, dynamics and probability.
