摘 要:Kakeya conjecture is a fundamental problem in real analysis. It suggests the phenomenon that in R^n, any collectionof lines (equivalently, tubes) with distinct directions cannot cluster too much. In this talk, I would briefly discuss Kakeya conjecture and its connections to other branches of mathematical analysis (e.g. Fourier analysis, geometric measure theory). Along the way I would also include some recent progresses for problems in Fourier analysis.
