题 目:Recent progress on the model theory of large fields

摘 要:Large field is a concept in field arithmetic introduced by Pop and has been proven to be the “right class” of fields over which one can do a lot of interesting mathematics, like (inverse) Galois theory, study torsors of finite groups, study rationally connected varieties, study the elementary theory of function fields, etc. Empirically speaking, all model-theoretically tame fields are large. I will present several recent progress in this area. Particularly, I will focus on the recent progress in the restricted version of the long-standing stable fields conjecture in model theory. Time permitting, I will also address the question: Does tameness imply largeness?
