摘 要：I will highlight a few milestones in the history of Kahler geometry, before specializing to Calabi-Yau metrics. I will mention a few basic examples, and then discuss some of the main problems, such as the existence and uniqueness question of completenoncompact Calabi-Yau metrics, and the degeneration of Calabi-Yau metrics in certain limits, and showcase a few results.
