摘 要: We review various notions of heights over number fields, including heights of algebraic numbers, Weil’s height machine for algebraic varieties over number fields, Néron-Tate heights for curves over number fields, in which the last has a famous manifestation in number theory — the Gross-Zagier formula. We then introduce Beilinson’s notion of height pairings of cycles of general dimensions, Nekovář’s p-adic height pairing, together with their application to L-derivatives for GL(n). We also propose some interesting questions at the end.
刘一峰教授简介:刘一峰，浙江大学数学高等研究院教授。2012年于哥伦比亚大学取得博士学位，师从张寿武。先后在麻省理工学院，西北大学，耶鲁大学工作。主要研究领域为代数数论，自守形式，代数几何。
数学所讲座(The Institute Lecture)：旨在讲解现代数学的重要内容及其思想、方法和影响，扩展科研人员和研究生的视野，提高数学修养，加强相互交流，增强学术气氛。时间一般安排在每月第一个星期三（寒暑假除外）。
