Abstract:
We consider several nonlinear second order evolution equations subject to large friction and quasi-periodic forcing. We inverstigate the existence of solutions which are quasi-periodic with the same frequency of the forcing. Two models to keep in mind are:

(called the varactor equation)

We show that under very mild non-degeneracy conditions, there are solutions with the same frequencies wich depend analytically on
in a domain, which does not contain a ball around the origin, but which contains circles tangent to the imaginary axis. This allows us to recover and extend many properties in the literature about the asymptotic expansions. Joint work with R. Calleja, L. Corsi, A. Celletti
