Abstract:In this talk, I will introduce the Yang-Mills-Higgs(YMH) field defined on a fiber bundle over a Riemann surface. The YMH field is related to many classical important objects, including harmonic maps, twisted holomorphic curves, Ginzburg-Landau model and Yang-Mills fields. I will introduce my recent work on existence and convergence of YMH fields. We use both elliptic and heat flow methods, which involve a delicate blow-up analysis technique originated from Sacks-Uhlenbeck.
