摘 要：
In 1974, Landis and Oleinik conjectured that if a bounded solution of a parabolic equation decays fast at some time, then the solution must vanish identically before this time, provided the coefficients of the equation satisfy appropriate conditions at infinity.
This conjecture is closely related to many problems. The backward uniqueness problem for parabolic equations can be viewed as a particular case of the conjecture. This conjecture also has a elliptic version, the Landis conjecture, which interests many people.
In this talk, we prove Landis-Oleinik conjecture in the exterior domain under reasonable conditions of the coefficients.
