摘要：
The talk will start with the notions of (co)homology of groups and homology stability. Then we explain the recent work of Randal-Williams and Wahl where they provide a unified approach for homology stability. In fact, they proved a general homological stability theorem for families of automorphism groups in the so called homogeneous categories. Then we explain how Houghton's group and their higher dimensional generalizations fit into this framework and thus have homology stability. This is a joint work with P. Patzt.
