Abstract:
We explain an explicit construction and classification of all Z_p-towers of a global function field of characteristic p > 0, via Witt vectors.In particular, we will give an explicit genus formula for any such Z_p tower and classify those towers whose genus sequence is stable. This is joint work with Michiel Kosters.
