摘 要：It is known in physics that steady state of compressible fluids under the influence of uniform gravity is stable if and only if the convection is absent. For non-isentropic flow, this stability criterion turns into the monotonicity of entropy in the direction of gravity. In this research, we will show that the instability side with mathematical rigor. This is based on a joint work with Xulong Qin, and Zhen-an Yao.
