摘 要：We consider two basic results in nonlinear analysis, namely the general maximum principle and the Keller-Oseerman theorem on the existence of blow-up boundary solutions. The main purpose of this talk is to establish that these results do hold without any monotonicity assumption on the nonlinear term. Several related open problems are also raised in connection with some well-known results in nonlinear PDEs.
