摘 要：The Monge-Ampere equation has nice variational properties, and a number of geometric and physical problems can be formulated as variational problems of Monge-Ampere type. In this talk I will discuss a class of Monge-Ampere equations on the sphere, which arise in the study of the Minkowski problem and its extensions.
