摘 要：We will talk about some basic topics of non-integer expansions: greedy and lazy expansions, the cardinality of the set of all possible $beta$-expansions of a number, lexicographic characterisations, univoque bases (the bases in which the number $1$ has a unique expansion) and univoque sets (the set of real numbers having a unique expansion for a fixed base $1<q\leq 2$.
