摘 要:In this talk, we survey some of the history of binary forms and discuss several of my contributions to the story. In particular, we discuss the problems of representation of integers by binary forms, as well as algebraic and arithmetic applications of binary forms of low degree.

摘 要:The Guo-Jacquet Fundamental Lemma is a higher dimensional generalization of the local field analogue of the Waldspurger formula. It has an arithmetic generalization called the Linear Arithmetic Fundamental Lemma. It is conjectured by Wei Zhang interpreting the derivative of certain orbital integral into certain intersection number of Lubin-Tate spaces, which is a local analogue of the Gross-Zagier formula. We will introduce the known result for the linear Arithmetic Fundamental Lemma and recent development of higher deriveatives of orbital integrals.
