摘 要：In this first of a series of talks, we shall give a brief introduction to the Z-graded version of the BGG category O of any semisimple Lie algebra. After recalling some basic facts about coinvariant algebras and their invariant under parabolic subgroups, we shall discuss Soergel's V functors, Z-graded duality and Z-graded lifts of translation functors.
