摘 要:Resonances for noncompact hyperbolic surfaces are complex analogues of eigenvalues for Laplacian operators on compacthyperbolic surfaces, defined as the poles of meroporphic continuation of the resolvent. They are also related to the zeros andpoles of the Selberg zeta function defined by the lengths of primitive closed geodesics. In this talk, we discuss some recentresults as well as open problems on the distribution of resonances in the case of convex cocompact hyperbolic surfaces.The talk is based on joint work with Semyon Dyatlov, Zhang Ruixiang, and Tao Zhongkai.
