摘 要：Many important questions in number theory concern the size of a given subset of the integers with certain structural properties. Somewhat surprisingly, we have a toolbox of analytic techniques to approach these problems. In this talk I will present the basics of several of these tools. In particular we will see what role Dirichlet- and Fourier-series
play and take a glimpse at non-commutative hyperbolic analysis.
