摘 要：In this talk, I will introduce two kinds of closed orbit problems, i.e., closed geodesics
on manifolds and closed characteristics on hypersurfaces with the fixed energy. Then I will
introduce some recent progress in this field, and simply explain how to deal with these problems
by using the Maslov-type index theory.
