Title: Mori Dreamness of Fake Quadrics

Abstract: In this talk, I will talk about fake quadrics (smooth minimal complex surfaces of general type with p_g = 0 and K² = 8). These surfaces have the same Betti numbers as smooth quadrics in P³. I will briefly explain known results about fake quadrics: examples, birational maps and involutions. Then I will talk about the Mori dreamness of fake quadrics. I will explain that the Shavel type fake quadrics are not Mori dream spaces, based on the recent joint work with Paolo Cascini, Fabrizio Catanese and JongHae Keum
