Title: Embedded special Legendrian surfaces in the 5-sphere

Abstract: Cones over special Legendrian surfaces in the 5-sphere serve as singularity models for (degenerating) special Lagrangians in SYZ mirror symmetry. Using integrable systems methods many embedded special Legendrian tori have been constructed. In this talk I will explain the construction of the first compact embedded examples of genus >1. This talk is based on joint work with Ch. Ouyang and F. Pedit.
