Abstract:We study an inverse curvature flow for capillary hypersurface,which is a compact hypersurface that intersects a supporting domain at a given constant contact angle, known as Young's angle. In the special case of a right-angle (perpendicular) contact, this flow reduces to the (normalized) inverse nonlinear curvature flows previously studied by Gerhardt and Urbas, and later employed by Guan-Li to derive sharp isoperimetric-type inequalities for quermassintegrals. For the general capillary hypersurface, however, this flow is new. In this talk, we will present a convergence result for the flow and explore its applications to the sharp isoperimetric type inequalities in the capillary setting.
