Title: Singular Riemannian Foliations and Their Applications

Abstract:We first introduce the theory of singular Riemannian foliations (SRFs), which provide a natural geometric generalization of orbit decompositions of isometric group actions. We then discuss how SRFs interact with various geometric and topological problems, including the existence of closed geodesics, curvature constraints, and topological restrictions on the existence of SRFs. Finally, we survey recent progress on these topics.
