Abstract:We show that the entropy in Kahler geometry can be expressed as the derivative of the Monge-Ampere energy along some Aubin--Yau type path. We also present a non-Archimedean version of this statement. Such considerations lead to a new norm for test configurations. And we show that the existence of cscK metrics is equivalent to uniform K-stability with respect to this norm.
