Title: Fisher information for the Boltzmann equation

Abstract: We review a recent contribution to the study of the Boltzmann equation in the case where the solution is space-homogeneous and particle interactions are very singular. We will see that the Fisher information of the solution decreases in time for a large class of particle interactions, including the very singular ones associated to inverse power laws. An important consequence of this new a priori estimate is the global wellposedness of the problem, a question that was still open in the case of very singular interactions. Joint work with L.
