HUA Loo-Keng Key Laboratory of Mathematics, CAS is a research team and international cooperation center for basic research of mathematics, which was established on basis of the former open Institute of Mathematics initiated by academicians Wang Yuan and Yang Le and for adapting the new demand for knowledge innovation.

Catching up to the international frontiers of the development of mathematics, the laboratory aimed at making significant original contributions to fundamental theories and interdisciplinary development of mathematics and their applications, as well as bringing up a group of leading scholars of international reputation.
