Title: Discovering k-friends through k-RBG links

Abstract:We generalize Manolescu and Piccirillo’s RBG-link method to 

search for n-friends (knots that share the same n-surgery) and explore 

how certain n-friends can lead to the existence of exotic simply-connected 

definite 4-manifolds. We'll also investigate how knot invariants from 

Khovanov homology, knot Floer homology, and singular instanton Floer 

homology can be used to obstruct knots from being (-k)-slice (bounding a 

disk with self-intersection number k) in mCP^2.
